UPGRADING TO v5.5b FROM v5.5 OR v5.5a:
=====================================
* A few additonal things were found..(buggies that is)...in v5.5a of
TQFN. We were very much in a rush to get the NEW TQFN out there on
the market, simply because numerous Sysop's were bugging the heck out
of us, so they could run the door...So our testing was not as
lengthy as we normally like it to be. Sorry for any inconvenience
concerning these upgrades folks.
* The data structures now match the rest of the door in the CONFIG
program. So locking out a player should go fine now.
* Players were not able to choose "0" when either Smoking the Peace Pipe
or Drinking a Local Concoction to exit. They will be able to do this
now. Thanks Rick!
* When spying on another player in Sanrigo's Spy Hut, there was a file
accessing problem that would cause an error. This has now been fixed.
Thanks Hank!
* Upgrading is fairly simple. Move the following files to a TEMP
directory for now:
UMN.DAT
DH.DAT
BADPLAY.LST <- Only if you have locked anyone out of the game.
BADWORDS.LST <- Only if you have added any bad words to it.
Move the QUESTxxx.EXE archive into your TQFN directory and run it.
When it asks if you would like to overwrite the first file, answer
"A" to overwrite ALL files. Your current game and setup will be
saved. Once the archive is done, simply move any of the files that
you moved above, BACK into your TQFN directory, overwriting the ones
that came with the archive.
UPGRADING TO v5.5b FROM ANY OTHER VERSION:
=========================================
* You will have to simply delete what you have now and reinstall TQFN as
many things and structures have changed.
* The KEY file routine has also changed in TQFN, so please contact us at
Lounge Software if you have registered and we will issue you a new
KEY file. There is no charge for this.
* NOTE: The way the EPM's are installed has changed as well. Check out
installing and removing EPM's in the CONFIG.EXE program. All of your
OLD EPM files are no longer needed, so they can be deleted along with
the rest of your TQFN files.
* The TQFNAIP Module is included with this archive as well. There is
some new structuring and your OLD TQFNAIP Module will not work with
this version.
* When upgrading, there are a couple of things that you CAN keep. The
QUESTx.CFG files have not changed, so you can copy those to a TEMP
directory and just move them back into the NEW directory after
installing. This way you will not have to configure again for each
node :) Also, the NAMES.TXT file can be reused with the NEW TQFNAIP
Module. If you changed any of the names in here, you will most likely
want to use your old NAMES.TXT file when you reinstall TQFNAIP.
That's about it!
